yes, it was SUCH a good show.



we played good and we got to see many of our good friends.



we had LOTS of fun!



we also got to meet lots of new folks, many of whom really liked us! they really like us! nice. we like them, too.

Virtual drum roll, please...



Gentleladies and gentlemen, I am pleased to announce that the upcoming week will be brimming with rich and tasty The Casting Couch-y goodness.

I encourage you all to partake in the fine gourmet treat that is The Casting Couch. Think of us as some sort of espresso-covered chocolate bean on top of a cherry, my friends, because that is exactly what we are.

The recipe for the "The Casting Couch CD Release Week Festivities Yummy Treat" is as follows:

FIRST, Turn on "Say Something New" on KVRX 91.7 FM at 8 p.m. on Wednesday night (dec. 7th). Listen as The Casting Couch plays a few songs, spins a few favorite tunes, talks about things, answers questions with one creepy group-noun in-unison voice.

NEXT, drop by End of an Ear at 6 p.m. on Thursday (dec. 8th) for the band's in-store performance at said record store. Watch intently. Stir with wire whisk until mixture forms stiff yet fluffy peaks. A Copper Girl is helpful for this process (yikes!).

THEN, sit at home on Friday night with a bottle of your choice feeling much anticipation for what is to come on Saturday. Combine the contents of two randomly chosen bowls and spread into pan. Bake overnight in room temperature oven.

FINALLY, remove from oven, drive to the Carousel Lounge on Saturday night (dec. 10). Spread mixture around room (insert beer and shake). Watch and listen as The Casting Couch plays a plethora of songs. Become entranced and join the line of zombie-like folks people who are drawn to the special crystal that I will place inside of the merchandise box. Purchase several copies of the new album, Row Your Boat. Open it up, take a look inside, and then sit back and enjoy a star-studded performance by the Orange Mothers.

Row Your Boat - latest album by the Casting Couch and related festivities!
"row your boat" is about to be released amid much fanfare and celebration, including a visit to KVRX' Say Something New radio show on December 7th at 8PM and a free in-store performance by the intrepid band at End of an Ear, austin's cutting edge-iest record store. The CD release party will take place on December 10th at the Carousel Lounge, and the Casting Couch will be joined by the original lineup of the legendary and archetypal Orange Mothers - truly an event not to be missed!
